Alden Pointe Introduces Ricky McPhail

Alden Pointe Assisted Living & Memory Care names Ricky McPhail, RN, to the Director of Nursing position.

In his capacity as Director of Nursing, McPhail will manage a staff of 20 caregivers and nurses in the 36-resident community. He will direct day-to-day care of each resident, including administration, policies and procedures, needs assessment and medication management.

"Ricky demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining the superior level of care we offer our residents," said Alden Pointe owner, David Schonberg. “Having a registered nurse in the Director of Nursing position really sets us apart," he added.

Alden Pointe also has a nurse on duty around the clock, though this is not a state requirement, as part of their commitment to the safety and well being of their residents.

Prior to joining the Alden Pointe team, Ricky was proprietor of McPhail Forestry Services for five years. He was also a county forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission for six and a half years. In both capacities, Ricky honed his exceptional management and training skills.

Ricky and Kathy McPhail, Alden Pointe's Executive Director, celebrated 26 years of marriage in June 2007 and are equally committed to providing a loving, home-like environment for Alden Pointe's residents. The couple has lived in the Hattiesburg/Oak Grove area for more than 40 years.
